Women in Engineering (WIE) Session

Time: 18:15-19:00 (6:15 PM – 7 PM)
Location: Hall B

As part of EEFS 2026, the Women in Engineering (WIE) session aims to promote an open and inspiring environment for students, researchers, and professionals in science and engineering. The session will encourage discussion on research experiences, career development, scientific challenges, and opportunities for women in academia and technology, while fostering networking and collaboration among participants.

The session will feature a special invited contribution by Prof. Beatriz Noheda (University of Groningen, The Netherlands), an internationally recognized researcher in functional materials and ferroelectric systems. In addition, several early-career researchers will share brief personal insights and experiences in a friendly interactive discussion format. The WIE session will take place alongside the poster session.
